Are the Settlers Netanyahu’s NRA?

According to Thomas Friedman, of The New York Times, while General Amos Yadlin [Israel’s former chief of defense intelligence] has suggested a number of ways for Israel to be a secure, Jewish, democratic state, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, fearing his right wing and the settlers, offers no way forward and no strategy to move beyond the current political impasse.
